More on Founder William Clayton
As recent as April 2020, William Clayton was a Principal Shareholder at Greenberg Traurig, LLP — the largest law firm in the U.S. He was in a leadership role as the former National Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Real Estate Litigation Group.
William decided to strike out on his own to fulfill a life-long dream of starting his own law firm – dedicated to a culture of practicing law freely in a world with no legal or business conflicts. He took from GT a rising star, Miguel Aristizabal (Emory Law School and Moot Court superstar).
William Clayton went to an “Ivy League” college – Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where he graduated at the top 5% of his class – with distinction. He went to a Top 10 law school – Northwestern Pritzker School of Law in Chicago. While in law school, he studied at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business. After law school, he landed the most prestigious law position possible in the country – he was a Law Clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals.
He was an entrepreneur — first — before he began to practice law full-time in Florida. He traded stock options “in the pit” on his own seat on the Chicago Board of Trade — stock options. He developed commercial real estate. Within a product line, he was one the largest franchisee’s in the U.S. With the Founder’s business and accounting background, he is adept at quickly getting to know your business and its culture.
In a BTI Client Service All-Stars report, he was recognized as one of the top 250 lawyers in the U.S.
William Clayton is uniquely qualified as only one out of 70 lawyers in Florida (with over 100,000 lawyers), who is Board Certified as both a Civil Trial Lawyer and a Business Litigation Attorney in Florida.
He is licensed to practice law in four states or jurisdictions — Florida, Nevada, New York, and Washington, D.C.
After jury trials, jurors have stated – regarding Clayton’s performance at trial – that “it was better than TV or a movie.”
The founder lectures nationally on many subjects including insurance law (bad faith), real estate litigation, and all aspects of jury trials.

Our founder is active in national, state, and local organizations. He has served locally as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Broward Bar Association. William Clayton has also served as the President of the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and as President of the state-wide group, American Board of Trial Advocates, Florida Chapters. William is an active member in Leadership Broward. He is active in his church. The founder has given over $250,000 to the United Way.
