Kevin W. Stone, Jr.

Kevin W. Stone, Jr. earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2022. Finding himself with a knack for advocating in the courtroom, Kevin excelled in UM’s Litigation Skills program. Kevin’s professionalism and passionate advocacy style earned him the John F. Evans Memorial Scholarship for his performance in the program’s final trial.

While studying at “the U,” Kevin earned membership on the Charles C. Papy Moot Court Board. As a Moot Court Board member, he sharpened his written and oral advocacy skills by competing in various national oral advocacy competitions. Notably, Kevin competed in the well-known Duberstein Moot Court Competition in New York City (like CTL partner, Miguel Aristizabal), and his team won 1st prize in the 10th Annual Cristol, Kahn, Paskay Cup in 2021.

Kevin was 1 of just 10 students—in a law school class of over 300 hundred—selected by the faculty at UM for membership in the prestigious Order of Barristers: a national legal honorary organization whose members are chosen for their exceptional oral advocacy and brief writing skills.

In the summer and fall of 2020, Kevin served as a Judicial Intern in the Southern District of Florida, working for The Hon. Jose E. Martinez and his staff. There, he was fortunate to see the inner workings of the judicial decision-making process.

Before joining CTL as an Associate, Kevin was the firm’s 1st legal intern, joining the CTL team in early 2021. As a legal intern at CTL, Kevin quickly developed under the direction and mentorship of CTL partners, William Clayton and Miguel Aristizabal. In almost two years as an intern, Kevin gained invaluable experience, working closely with William and Miguel on CTL’s complex commercial business cases.

Prior to the pursuit of his legal career, Kevin earned his bachelor’s degree in Government from Harvard University. At Harvard, Kevin did more than just study—he was a starting pitcher on the Ivy League institution’s NCAA Division 1 baseball team. As a four-year varsity letter winner and 2019 Ivy League Conference Champion, Kevin understands how to thrive under pressure, fearlessly compete, and win.

Kevin’s discipline, work ethic, and past track-record for success make him an invaluable team member. He takes enormous pride in representing Clayton Trial Lawyers and its clients.
